The Glenartney DMG main Red Deer range covers approximately 12,200 ha. The main Group consists of 5 management units Ardvorlich, Drumardoch, Glenample, Glenartney and Archchullarie East.
The main Group maintains communication with all neighbouring properties within the DMG boundary which have been fenced off from the Red Deer open range. The DMG also maintains on-going communication with neighbouring Deer Management Groups (South Perthshire to the north and Balquhidder to the west) to ensure a landscape collaborative approach to deer management.
Combinations of land use objectives and priorities vary from property to property throughout the Deer Management Group area but as a whole Conservation is a common and strongly shared focus of all.
